The Compound
Wall Construction
The walls and buildings are made of squared logs.
In 1876, the walls were extended to allow the Mounted Police to keep their horses inside the compound, to prevent thievery. The extension was completed with rough, unsquared logs. Continue to part II of Fort Whoop-Ups Compound.
