North West Mounted Police

The North West Mounted Police emerged in 1874, to assert Canadian sovereignty to the American traders living and operating from the Fort and to bring the rule of law to the western prairie.

Blackfoot Culture

Blackfoot culture at the peak of the buffalo robe trade is displayed.

As visitors exit the gallery, they can move into the Fort compound lined by Compound.  This display is as it was during its heyday of 1875/76.
